Best Heated Work Jacket
A heated work jacket can make all of the difference if your job requires you to be outside in cold temps all day or if you work in a freezer or cooler, basically any job where you spend most of the work day in cold conditions. These heated work jackets are much more durable and heavy duty than the other heated jackets we have reviewed.
The big names in heated work jackets are DeWalt and Milwaukee, both major manufacturers of power tools and the batteries that power your Dewalt cordless drill will also power your heated work jacket. This means that it is super easy to get a spare battery and due to their size, the heat lasts a long time. While the majority of the heated jackets we looked at were DeWalt or Milwaukee we threw in one additonal brand, a high visbility coat from Pioneer, but for this one you have to supply your own battery.
In addition to long battery life, the Dewalt and Milwaukee heated work jackets are both designed to be very durable and hold up to the extremes of construction and other outdoor work. These heated coats also have plenty of pockets so you will never have to worry about storage. The battery has a USB port so you can charge your phone while out and about. All of the coats we looked at, with the exception of the Pioneer all come with one battery as well as a quick charger and adapter. If you currently own DeWalt or Milwaukee batteries you can buy the coat on it's own.
In addition to being ideal for work they are also a great choice for hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling, hiking and any other outdoor activity you wann to pursue on a cold day. Many of these heated jackets come with a hood which is fantastic for those particularly wet or windy days.
The big downside to heated work jackets is the battery size. While the larger battery keeps the heat pumping for longer, they can be a bit bulky. The Milwaukee heated work jacket puts the battery in the back and some users found it uncomfortable when sitting or driving. If you spend alot of time sitting or behind the wheel, you may want to consider the Dewalt.
If you work in cold or cool conditions on a regular basis and need the durability of work jacket, any of these coats will get the job done. We looked a a wide variety of both men's and women's heated work jacket and these are the ones we whole heartedly recommend:
